Born in the Bronx to a Peruvian mother and Puerto Rican father, Stephanie moved to Buffalo with her family at the age of 4. First establishing roots on the Lower West Side and now residing in North Buffalo, Stephanie’s life journey has helped her become a champion of our beautiful city. After spending two decades directing programs at various Non-Profit organizations, she became an entrepreneur in the food industry. While she is not professionally trained in culinary arts, she states that “Food isn’t in my background but it’s in my DNA”.
She started Half Luna Empanadas after noticing the lack of diverse catered food options in Buffalo. What started as bringing delectable empanadas to social gatherings has blossomed into catering events: from small family dinners, to board meetings, social gatherings, and weddings.
